Quotes (Diane
and Buil's experience after others):
Everyone pays a different price for the cruise even for the
same class cabin.
They turn the ship over in two shifts. The first half of the passengers
arrive a day before the second half, and then leave a day before at the end (so
everyone is onboard for the same amount of time). So you'll either have a couple
of days in Papeete at both the beginning and the end, or three days at the
beginning and one at the end.
They'll take your passport when you board...you don't get it back until
the end of the trip.
It never seem to be crowded anywhere on the ship except when
it comes to show time.
The ships photographer takes pretty bad pictures, first time
we did not buy any.

The islands are all beautiful, and the ship is marvelous.
R4 is a beautiful ship so I am sure you’ll like it,
this was our cruise #8.
The R3 is more gorgeous than we ever expected....marveled at
the elegance, the carpets, the fine woods, the luxury of it all. Even our
(cheapest cabin on board) stateroom was beautiful, spacious, well
sound-insulated, with a wonderful big bed and more storage space than we ever
needed...suitcases arrived in our cabin around 11:30...
The ship itself is very nice, although the English country home theme seems a
little strange for French Polynesia.
Our cabins were spacious and had lots of storage space (including in the
bathroom).
...cabin service was downright awesome, the best we ever
had on any cruise (this was our 7th)!
...service...good all around, our
steward...excellent, never saw her but she gets the job
done.
Tahiti was wonderful and Renaissance Cruises are the best!
The sunsets in French Polynesia were (to me) worth the cost of the
cruise.
...seems to be a “cheap” impression...both my wife
and I get from the ship on the little things. But,
over all, this ship is a good value and has many positive
points.
Renaissance really has it together! Everything about it! We’d travel on
them again tomorrow…

DIANE and BUIL's EXPERIENCE:
The great beauty of the R4 was as everyone described. We anxiously look
forward to more cruises with Renaissance.
We had a cabin very close to the elevators and at first wondered if we might
experience noise from the traffic. We found the cabin to have very good
soundproofing and enjoyed the convenience of being close to the elevators.
Mostly, our stateroom service was well above average. As with many of
our cruise experiences, we felt the sudden change in stateroom service at the
end of the cruise. Fortunately, we had been on many cruises and we quickly
shifted our minds to the enjoyment of the remaining time which was easy to do on
the R4.
