Debarkation
Images below. The 4th day, Tortola, a Charleston Disembarkation
Questionnaire was placed in our stateroom and it was requested we complete
it, & "return it to the Guest Relations Desk, Deck 5" by noon the next day "or
hand it to your Stateroom Attendant for delivery to the Guest Relations Desk."
We believe this questionnaire along with your Captains Club status is used to
determine your luggage tag color, which in turn, determines how quickly you will
be disembarking.
"For ALL: NON-U.S. CITIZENS, GREEN CARD HOLDERS AND
CANADIANS", there was a "U.S. IMMIGRATION INSPECTION (COMPULSORY)"
at "10:00AM" in the "Stratosphere Lounge", at sea, the 11th day.
Alan King, our Cruise Director, gave the Charleston
Disembarkation Talk at 10:30am in the Celebrity Theater, at sea, the 11th day.
On the 11th day, which was at sea, baggage tags were given
out, according to your departure requirements (& whether Captains Club), to be placed on your luggage,
which was to be placed "outside your stateroom door by 11pm" that night.
Baggage was "arranged according to luggage tag color in the terminal hall."
Celebrity stated, "we kindly request all our guests to wait in the public areas
as announcements will only be heard in the public areas of the ship and not
in your stateroom. Guests are kindly requested not to gather in
lobbies or in the Foyer at the Guest Relations Desk and not to leave luggage of
any description around the elevators or to congest stairways." We found
you might have to wait as much as several hours, before your luggage tag color
was called.
This debarkation was fairly quick (once your baggage tag
color was called), though we
found one needed to be rather aggressive in obtaining a porter, by walking up to
intercept them on their return back from carrying someone else's luggage
(someone staying behind to keep an eye on the luggage). Many more porters
are definitely needed.

Arranged by luggage tag color in the terminal hall; sorry it's rather dark; my digital camera doesn't have much of a flash, & I hurried, too
